CAGLIARI - Salvatore Meloni, president of the newly proclaimed Republic of Isle of Malu Entu Maldiventre, asks the blessing of Pope and his intercession with the local clergy for the celebration of Holy Mass in "his" little kingdom off the coast of Oristano.
In a letter addressed to the Holy Father's visit to Cagliari on September 7th, Meloni calls the Pope a "detour" route by helicopter to bless the island from even calling his remarks ("I ask a gift) because in the coming days we can celebrate the making Maldiventre.
